What is the meaning of the characters in the logo?
Our plants are the pineapple (the friendship fruit), the jade plant (a popular friendship symbol in Asia), and the yellow rose (the flower of friendship). They sit together in their “Friend Ship” ready to take on the world as a highly effective and fun loving crew.

Who can participate in the Friendship Crew?
The Friendship Crew was written for girls though some of the content is useful to boys as well. Our boy version is in its beginning phases and will be coming soon! So stay tuned.
-
Can there be more than ten participants?
The Friendship Crew curriculum was written for small groups of 6-10 participants, as it is easiest to share when things are more intimate. If you need to adjust your numbers slightly above the suggested limit, please contact us or consider breaking your larger group into two smaller groups.
-
Who can be a captain/facilitator for the Friendship Crew and are there any qualifications?
There are no special qualifications for being a captain/facilitator other than being an adult over the age of 18. We envision that our volunteer facilitators will be: teachers, homeschool co-op runners, counselors, small group therapists, youth group leaders, librarians, troop leaders, camp counselors, or even parents who are looking to mentor their children, and their children’s friends, so they can relate to each other on a more meaningful and personal level.
-
Can there be more than one facilitator?
You can form your crew any way that will help you do so. If this means two adults facilitating then that is fine by us. However, when registering for your crew, only 1 facilitator will be listed. You can put both of your names in the group name for your participants to find you.
-
How do I go about filling my Friendship Crew?
After you sign up here on our website to be a facilitator, you will advertise for your group using the provided poster and pamphlet or invite people individually to join your friendship crew using our email template that you can customize for your group. Your recruits will come onto this website and sign up under you for the program and pay for their supplies. You will then get your F2FBFF box with all of the Friendship Crew supplies needed to begin within a week or so of your sign-up closing.
-
Where is a good place to hold a Friendship Crew?
Depending on your roll in the community, you could host your crew in: schools, churches, libraries, a park with a covered area, or even at your own kitchen table should the group members approve. Make the space welcoming and able to accommodate your group size comfortably. If you are using the digital components of the program, having a computer and screen to project the slides is also a must.
-
What ages are best for using the F2FBFF curriculum?
The Friendship Crew curriculum is designed for 5th grade thru 8th graders. These are the times in their lives when friendships shift and change as they go through puberty. We believe that starting before 5th grade with our content does not make it as effective because they have not had enough experience to fully digest the guidelines. 9th and 10th graders could likely benefit from the program but we think it is a harder sell the older the kids get. We all know that teens think they know everything! LOL!
-
Can the groups be mixed age when using the curriculum?
Shared experiences are important when sharing out feelings and making connections. We would not recommend pairing groups more than one grade level apart from each other. It is not recommended trying to run a group of 5th and 8th graders together. The program works best with participants of the same grade.
-
Do you offer discounts for your program?
We offer many discounts such as: military discounts, sibling discounts, returning member discounts, and facilitator family discounts. We also offer scholarship opportunities for those who might need them.
-
What does the cost of the program cover?
The program fees collected go towards: the program content, the weekly supplies for your participant, a portion of the expense for the Friendship Fiesta on the last day of the program, a thank you gift for the volunteer program facilitator, as well as shipping and handling.
